About MacGruber
Ten years after his retirement following the tragic death of his fiancée, legendary (and legendarily inept) special operative MacGruber is pulled back into service by the government to thwart a nuclear threat. His arch-nemesis, Dieter Von Cunth, has stolen a nuclear warhead and intends to destroy Washington, D.C. Despite his lack of actual skills and a reliance on crude gadgets and "expert" distractions, MacGruber assembles a team—including straight-laced Lt. Dixon Piper and longtime friend Vicki St. Elmo—to stop Cunth. The film is a high-energy parody of 1980s action tropes, characterized by its unapologetically absurd humor and MacGruber's chaotic, often self-defeating approach to heroism.
