Mary Magdalene

A young woman from the village of Magdala named Mary abandons her arranged marriage and traditional family life to follow the charismatic preacher Jesus of Nazareth and becomes one of his devoted disciples. As the only woman among his followers, she faces rejection and prejudice from both her own family and the male disciples, yet remains steadfast in her faith. Mary witnesses Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, and struggles to make others believe — even when the male apostles dismiss her. The film ends by highlighting the enduring misunderstanding of Mary’s legacy and reclaiming her rightful place as a follower of Jesus.
