Master is a Tamil-language action-thriller drama about John “JD” Durairaj (Vijay), an alcoholic college professor whose life takes a turn when he takes a short-term teaching assignment at a juvenile reform home. There he clashes with Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi), a ruthless gangster who manipulates and exploits the institution’s children as pawns in his criminal schemes.
