Monsoon

Kit, a young British-Vietnamese man, returns to his birthplace of Saigon for the first time in over thirty years after fleeing as a child during the Vietnam-American War. No longer familiar with the country and unable to speak the language fluently, he embarks on a personal journey across the landscape to find a suitable place to scatter his parents' ashes. Along the way, he navigates a blossoming romance with Lewis, an American expat whose father also has ties to the war's history. The film is a quiet, meditative exploration of cultural displacement, the search for identity, and the lingering shadows of the past in a rapidly modernizing Vietnam.
