A mysterious plague unleashed by a comet begins to kill all the women in the world, leaving the few survivors terrified and on the run. Eva (Freida Pinto) and Will (Leslie Odom Jr.) are a young couple whose relationship is put under extreme pressure as they shelter in a meticulously sterilised apartment, avoiding both the disease and violent gangs hunting the remaining women. Eventually, unable to stay hidden forever, they must leave their self-imposed quarantine and make their way into a dangerous wilderness in hopes of finding safety.
