Onward

Onward is set in a modern suburban fantasy world where magic once thrived but is now largely forgotten. Two elf teenage brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, receive a magical staff, a Phoenix gem, and instructions from their late father as a gift on Ian’s 16th birthday, promising a “visitation spell” that can bring him back for one day. However, the spell is interrupted and only restores the lower half of their father. The brothers then embark on an adventurous quest across their world in Barley’s beloved van (“Guinevere”) to locate another gem so they can complete the spell before sunset. Along the way, they face challenges, discover courage and deepen their bond, while their mother and the mythical Manticore attempt to find them and reunite the family.
