Red Sands

Set during the early years of the war in Afghanistan, Red Sands follows a unit of US soldiers deployed to a remote desert outpost to monitor a strategic road. During a routine patrol, the bored soldiers stumble upon an ancient, mysterious stone statue and use it for target practice, inadvertently destroying it. This act of desecration awakens a malevolent, shapeshifting supernatural entity known as a Djinn. As sandstorms isolate the squad, they are besieged by terrifying hallucinations and internal paranoia, forcing the soldiers to fight for their lives against an ancient evil that thrives on their fears and turns them against one another.
