Shorta

Shorta (Arabic for “police”) is a tense Danish action-crime drama thriller that follows two patrol officers, Jens and Mike, during a volatile day in Copenhagen’s impoverished Svalegården district after news breaks that a 19-year-old immigrant, Talib Ben Hassi, has died while in police custody. As anger and unrest explode among the neighborhood’s youth seeking revenge, the two officers find themselves trapped in the maze of buildings and must fight for survival—not only against the rioters but also their own biases and relationship with each other.
