Skater Girl

Set in a remote village in Rajasthan, India, the film centers on Prerna, a young teen bound by tradition, poverty, and family expectations who finds a transformative sense of freedom when a visiting British-Indian executive introduces the village youth to skateboarding. As the children's enthusiasm sparks an uphill community effort to build the region's first skatepark, Prerna must confront entrenched societal barriers and familial pressure to chase her dream of competing in the National Skateboarding Championship.
