Ally, a workaholic reality TV showrunner, returns to her hometown after her latest project is canceled. Feeling lost, she reconnects with her first love, Sean, and begins to doubt the life choices she has made. Her journey toward self-discovery becomes complicated when she discovers Sean is getting married to Cassidy, a vibrant young woman who reminds Ally of the free-spirited person she used to be. The film subverts traditional romantic comedy tropes, focusing as much on Ally's personal growth and reconciliation with her past as it does on the central love triangle.
