Set in the early 2000s in the coastal town of Bheemili, Subham is a quirky horror-comedy that follows Srinivas, a local cable TV operator, whose peaceful life is disrupted when his wife, Srivalli, begins acting strangely every night at 9 PM. He soon realizes that all the women in the village are exhibiting the same eerie behavior, seemingly “possessed” by the addictive influence of a popular daily soap opera. As the village men attempt to “exorcise” their wives using misguided “alpha male” tactics, the film transitions into a hilarious satire that critiques traditional gender roles and the lack of empathy in domestic relationships.
