The Black Phone

Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13‑year‑old boy living in suburban Denver in 1978, is abducted by a sadistic masked killer known only as “The Grabber.” He wakes up in a sound‑proof basement, where a disconnected black phone on the wall begins ringing: on the line are the previous victims of the Grabber, who can now speak only through the phone and aim to help Finney escape. As Finney battles his fears — including bullying at school, an abusive father and his own self‑doubt — he must rely on the voices of the dead to find a way out and fight back.
