The Boy

Set in 1989, the film follows nine-year-old Ted Henley, who lives with his father, John, in their decaying, secluded Mountain Vista Motel. With the business failing and his mother long gone, Ted is left to his own devices, developing a morbid fascination with death and the macabre. He spends his time collecting roadkill to earn quarters from his father, but as his isolation deepens and his sociopathic tendencies grow, Ted begins to actively engineer "accidents" to lure unsuspecting travelers to the motel. The arrival of a mysterious drifter named William Colby further fuels Ted's dark evolution, transforming his curiosity into a chilling and dangerous desire for control over life and death.
