The Call

Set in the autumn of 1987, a group of small-town friends suspects their elderly neighbor, Edith Cranston, of being a witch and subjects her to relentless harassment. After Edith tragically takes her own life, her grieving husband, Edward, invites the group to his home to hear her will. He presents them with a macabre challenge: they can each inherit a significant sum of money if they make a single phone call to a telephone placed inside Edith's casket and stay on the line for sixty seconds. What begins as a seemingly easy task descends into a supernatural nightmare as the callers are forced to confront their worst fears and past sins through the mysterious connection to the grave.
