The Cobbler

A disaffected New York–based shoe repairman (Max Simkin, played by Adam Sandler) discovers an antiquated sewing machine in his family’s shop that grants him the uncanny ability to assume the identity of any customer whose shoes he repairs. As he walks literally in other people’s shoes, Max begins to explore unfamiliar lives and unforeseen dangers — ultimately learning that taking someone else’s place can lead to unexpected responsibility and redemption.
