The Comeback Trail

In debt to a ruthless mob boss, greedy Hollywood producer Max Barber (Robert De Niro) concocts a high-stakes insurance scam to save his skin: he plans to kill off his aging lead actor, Duke Montana (Tommy Lee Jones), during a dangerous stunt to collect the payout. However, as the cameras roll on their low-budget Western, the suicidal, washed-up star finds a sudden burst of inspiration and accidentally survives every attempt on his life.
