The Final Girls

Max Cartwright is a high school student mourning the loss of her mother, Amanda, a celebrated "scream queen" from the 1980s cult classic slasher Camp Bloodbath. When Max and her friends attend a tribute screening of the film, a freak accident magically transports them into the movie itself. Trapped in a world of 80s horror tropes, they must team up with the fictional camp counselors—including a version of Max’s mother—to battle a masked, machete-wielding killer. To escape the film and return to reality, Max must navigate her grief while ensuring she becomes the "final girl" to survive the cinematic massacre.
