After their parents are tragically killed in a car accident, teenage Ruby and her younger brother Rhett are sent to live with their former neighbors, Erin and Terry Glass, in a secluded and ultra-modern Malibu mansion. While the "Glass house" initially seems like a sanctuary of luxury and comfort, Ruby soon discovers that their guardians are not the benevolent protectors they claim to be.
