THE LONG WALK

Set in a dystopian 1970s under a totalitarian regime, the film follows one hundred teenage boys who participate in an annual, televised grueling contest known as "The Long Walk." The rules are simple but lethal: contestants must maintain a steady pace of at least three miles per hour; if they slow down or stop, they receive three warnings before being "interfered with" (executed) by accompanying soldiers. As the boys trek across the grueling landscape of Maine, the protagonist Raymond Garraty and his fellow walkers form intense emotional bonds while facing physical exhaustion, mental breakdown, and the grim reality that only one survivor will remain to claim the ultimate Prize.
