The Uprising

Set in 1381 following the devastating aftermath of the Black Death and crippling Crown tax levies across England, a grieving Essex farmer known as the Ploughman is driven past his breaking point by ruthless royal collectors. Joining forces with fiery preacher John Ball and veteran Wat Tyler, he helps mobilize a ferocious commoners' revolt against the governing council of the young King Richard II. As tens of thousands march toward London demanding an end to serfdom and royal tyranny, the uprising faces violent clashes, political betrayal, and a brutal clash with the Crown's armies in a desperate struggle for survival and justice.
