The Water Man

Gunner Boone is a sensitive and imaginative 11-year-old boy who struggles to cope with his mother's terminal leukemia and his strained relationship with his authoritarian father. After discovering a local legend about a mythical figure known as the Water Man—a ghostly being rumored to possess the secret to immortality—Gunner recruits a rebellious street-smart girl named Jo to lead him into the dangerous wildwood.
