Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake) discover that their familiar troll world is only one of six distinct tribes, each devoted to a different genre of music — Funk, Country, Techno, Classical, Pop, and Rock. When the formidable Queen Barb of the Rock Trolls, aided by her father King Thrash, tries to eliminate other music to reign supreme with rock, Poppy and Branch — along with their friends — embark on a globe-spanning quest to unite all the trolls in harmony before their musical diversity is lost.
