Rusty Griswold, now grown and with his own family, decides to surprise his wife Debbie and their two sons by taking them on a cross‑country road trip to the iconic amusement park Walley World in an attempt to rekindle family bonds and relive some nostalgia. Along the way, the journey spirals into a series of misadventures, mishaps, and comedic chaos—especially complicated by his overconfident brother‑in‑law Stone Crandall (played by Chris Hemsworth). The trip tests their patience, relationships, and sense of humor in a wild, unpredictable ride.
