White Nights

When a world-renowned Soviet ballet dancer who defected to the West is forced to crash-land in Siberia, he finds himself back in the custody of the KGB. To prevent him from escaping again, the authorities place him under the watch of an American tap dancer who defected to the Soviet Union during the Vietnam War. Despite their initial cultural and artistic friction, the two performers develop an unlikely bond as they navigate the stifling political climate of Leningrad. Realizing they are both prisoners of a system that limits their freedom, they devise a daring plan to escape to the American consulate and find true liberty.
