A Real Pain

Mismatched Jewish-American cousins David, a fastidious and neurotic family man, and Benji, an erratic, deeply volatile, yet charming free spirit, reunite for a guided heritage tour across Poland in honor of their late grandmother. As the group travels from the historical streets of Warsaw to Lublin, Majdanek, and their ancestral village, the odd-couple dynamic swings unpredictably between mordant comedy and simmering emotional friction. Beneath Benji's magnetic bravado lies unresolved depression, forcing David and their fellow travelers to grapple with generational trauma, survival, and the unsettling paradox of reconciling modern personal anguish against the immense backdrop of profound historical suffering.
