About The Last Showgirl
Shelley is a glamorous veteran showgirl who has spent thirty years as the sequin-clad centerpiece of a traditional Las Vegas revue. Her world is upended when the stage manager, Eddie, announces the show will close permanently in two weeks, forcing Shelley and her tight-knit family of dancers to face an uncertain future in a city that increasingly prizes youth over tradition. As she struggles to reconcile her lifelong devotion to the stage with the reality of aging out of her only professional skill, Shelley attempts to mend a strained relationship with her daughter while searching for a new sense of purpose beyond the neon lights.
