Set in 1943 during the Japanese bombardment of Madras, ten individuals from diverse social and economic backgrounds attempt to escape the chaos by sea in a small wooden boat. As they navigate the vast Bay of Bengal with minimal supplies, their journey for safety turns into a high-stakes survival drama when the vessel unexpectedly stalls and begins to sink. Trapped in open water with a shark circling and tensions rising over a suspected terrorist among them, the group must confront their prejudices and work together to survive the elements and each other before the boat disappears beneath the waves.
