Chandu Champion

Based on the extraordinary true story of Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist, the film chronicles the journey of an ambitious young boy from rural Maharashtra who dreams of bringing sporting glory to his nation. Facing persistent mockery and self-doubt, he enlists in the Indian Army, survives nine bullet wounds and severe physical trauma during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War, and battles through paralysis to retrain as a world-class swimmer, ultimately rewriting sports history at the 1972 Summer Paralympics.
