Drishyam

Drishyam (2015) is a Hindi‐crime thriller about Vijay Salgaonkar, a simple cable TV operator living in Goa with his wife and two daughters, who loves Bollywood movies and lives an otherwise ordinary but responsible life. One evening, a son of a high-ranking police official blackmails Vijay’s elder daughter using a compromising video. When circumstances lead to the boy’s disappearance, Vijay uses his wit, understanding of human behaviour, and his love of movies to build an elaborate cover‐up that misleads the law, all to shield his family.
