Feminichi Fathima

Set in a conservative coastal community in Ponnani, Kerala, the film follows Fathima, an everyday homemaker who endures chronic back pain and the domestic dominance of her orthodox husband. When an urgent need arises to replace an old, soiled mattress, her simple request meets relentless domestic resistance and rigid religious patriarchal boundaries. What begins as an ordinary purchase gradually transforms into an empowering journey of quiet rebellion, emotional resilience, and financial autonomy as Fathima asserts her self-worth and independence against entrenched societal expectations.
