Set on Halloween night in 1977, the film follows Jack Delroy, the ambitious host of a struggling late-night talk show called "Night Owls." In a desperate bid to boost plummeting ratings following his wife's death, Jack organizes a live occult-themed special featuring a parapsychologist and a young girl who is allegedly the sole survivor of a Satanic church's mass suicide. As the broadcast progresses, the line between scripted entertainment and genuine supernatural horror blurs, leading to a terrifying climax where a demonic entity is unleashed upon the studio audience and viewers across America.
