Lion

Based on a remarkable true story, Lion follows five-year-old Saroo, who falls asleep on a stationary train in rural India and wakes up thousands of kilometers away in the chaotic streets of Calcutta. Unable to speak the local language or identify his home, he eventually survives the perils of the streets and is adopted by a compassionate Australian couple in Tasmania. Two decades later, haunted by fragmented memories of his past and his biological family, an adult Saroo uses the burgeoning technology of Google Earth to embark on an obsessive and emotional quest to find his original home and reconnect with the mother and brother he lost a lifetime ago.
