Mansfield Park

Fanny Price, a young woman born into poverty, is sent to live with her wealthy relatives at their grand estate, Mansfield Park. Despite being treated as a social inferior by her aunt and uncle, Fanny maintains her integrity and develops a close bond with her kind cousin, Edmund. Her life is thrown into turmoil with the arrival of the sophisticated and worldly siblings Henry and Mary Crawford, whose flirtatious games and moral ambiguity challenge the values of the household. This adaptation of Jane Austen's novel distinguishes itself by incorporating elements of Austen's real-life letters and addressing the darker themes of slavery and social exploitation that underpinned the wealth of the British landed gentry.
