Me Before You centers on Louisa “Lou” Clark (Emilia Clarke), a bright‑spirited young woman from a modest background who takes a job as a caregiver for Will Traynor (Sam Claflin), a wealthy man left paralyzed and depressed after an accident. Initially distant and cynical, Will gradually begins to feel life's possibilities again through Lou's infectious optimism and caring ways.
