Pekamedalu

Set in a working-class neighborhood of Hyderabad, Pekamedalu centers on Laxman, an unemployed engineering graduate who refuses conventional jobs and constantly seeks get-rich-quick shortcuts through online gaming and speculative real estate schemes. In stark contrast, his hard-working wife, Varalaxmi, sustains the household by making snacks and working domestic jobs, saving diligently with the goal of opening her own curry point. When Laxman squanders borrowed capital earmarked for her venture on his self-serving pursuits and gets entangled with an affluent woman, Varalaxmi reaches her breaking point, transforming the narrative into an empowering exploration of self-reliance, financial struggle, and the unraveling of a house of cards built on irresponsible dreams.
