The Karate Kid

The Karate Kid (2010) follows 12‑year‑old Dre Parker, who moves with his single mother from Detroit to Beijing, China, due to her job. Struggling to fit into a new culture and school, he becomes the target of bullying by Cheng, a local kung fu prodigy. When Dre is badly beaten, a maintenance man named Mr. Han—secretly a master of kung fu—steps in to train him. Dre learns not just physical skills but discipline, respect, and inner strength under Han’s tutelage.
