The Operative

Based on Yiftach Reicher Atir’s novel The English Teacher, this taut psychological thriller follows Rachel, a multi-lingual Western woman recruited by the Mossad to go deep undercover in Tehran. Tasked with infiltrating an electronics company to sabotage Iran’s nuclear program, she adopts the identity of an English teacher and begins a relationship with her target, Farhad. As the mission grows increasingly dangerous and morally ambiguous, Rachel becomes entangled in a complex web of deception, forcing her to choose between her loyalty to her handler and her feelings for the man she was sent to betray.
