The Siege of Jadotville

In 1961, Commandant Patrick Quinlan leads a small, isolated Irish UN battalion of 150 men stationed in Jadotville, Katanga, during the Congo Crisis. Tasked with maintaining peace in a politically volatile region, the outnumbered and underequipped peacekeeping force suddenly finds itself besieged by thousands of Congolese troops and foreign mercenaries led by French and Belgian commanders working for mining interests. Demonstrating immense tactical brilliance, courage, and resilience, Quinlan and his loyal soldiers manage to fend off relentless waves of attacks for nearly a week before running out of ammunition and supplies, ultimately revealing a powerful story of forgotten heroism.
