Vettaiyan: The Hunter

The film centres on Athiyan (played by Rajinikanth), a veteran encounter-specialist police officer whose ruthless style clashes with the principles of justice upheld by DGP Sathyadev (Amitabh Bachchan). When a school teacher is brutally raped and murdered while exposing a drug racket in a government school, Athiyan takes on the case and must navigate the murky intersections of crimes, system failures and vigilante justice — forcing him to confront both his own methods and the walls of the legal system in pursuit of what he believes is right.
