Weekend in Taipei follows John Lawlor (Luke Evans), a dedicated DEA agent who reunites with his former lover, Joey Kwang (Gwei Lun-mei), during a covert mission in Taipei. Unbeknownst to him, Joey is now married to Kwang (Sung Kang), a powerful drug lord. As the weekend unfolds, old flames reignite, and John discovers he has a son he never knew about.
