About What Dreams May Come
After a tragic car accident kills him, Dr. Chris Nielsen (Robin Williams) finds himself in an afterlife — a heavenly realm shaped by the imagination and art he shared with his late wife Annie. But when Annie, grief-stricken and unable to bear life without him, commits suicide and her soul is cast into a kind of hell, Chris — guided by his friend-turned-spirit-guide Albert (Cuba Gooding Jr.) — refuses to accept their separation. He embarks on a surreal, emotionally charged journey through heaven and hell to rescue her, grappling with love, loss, guilt and the power of imagination.
