Bebaak

Inspired by true events, Bebaak follows Fatin Khalidi, an ambitious young architecture student from a financially struggling Muslim family who applies for an educational grant to continue her studies. During her scholarship interview, she is publicly reprimanded, humiliated, and subjected to rigid patriarchal chastisement by an orthodox religious leader for refusing to adhere to conventional theological codes and veiling norms. Caught between economic desperation, traditional familial expectations, and her own pursuit of personal autonomy, Fatin finds the courage to quietly yet fearlessly voice defiance against systemic religious oppression and male agency over women's bodies.
