Brightburn reimagines the Superman origin story through a horror lens. After a spaceship crashes in Brightburn, Kansas, Tori and Kyle Breyer adopt an infant boy, Brandon, who exhibits extraordinary abilities as he grows. On his 12th birthday, Brandon discovers his superpowers, including super-strength and flight. However, instead of becoming a force for good, he turns malevolent, terrorizing his adoptive family and the town.
