Set in the conservative town of Moga, Punjab, the story centers on Sweety Chaudhary, a young woman under intense pressure from her traditional family to enter into an arranged marriage. Although a smitten Delhi playwright named Sahil Mirza pursues her and offers a convenient way out, Sweety carries a deeply guarded secret: she is in love with another woman named Kuhu. Navigating prejudice, societal stigma, and fear of rejection, Sweety collaborates with Sahil to mount a community play that dares to stage her real truth before her father and family, confronting conservative social norms with a heartfelt plea for acceptance and love.
