Iron Lung

Set in a desolate post-apocalyptic future following the "Quiet Rapture"—a cosmic cataclysm that caused all stars and habitable worlds to abruptly vanish—the remnants of humanity survive aboard decaying space stations. In a desperate bid to locate vital resources, an expedition sends a convicted prisoner named Simon on a perilous, one-way descent deep into an extraterrestrial ocean of blood discovered on a barren moon. Welded inside a claustrophobic, blind-navigating submersible dubbed the "Iron Lung," the pilot must chart anomalies and photograph designated coordinates using only primitive instruments, all while contending with failing systems, mounting paranoia, and an incomprehensible menace lurking in the crushing depths.
