A mermaid is captured from the Pacific by a fishing crew, their cruelty leads them to sever her tail — after which she’s imprisoned in a mental institution. There, labeled as delusional and without anyone believing her real identity, she must rely on her will to survive and fight for her freedom under dire and horrifying circumstances.
