Set against the bustling backdrop of Mumbai, the story follows Rafi, a struggling street photographer who lives a quiet, hardworking life to pay off a family debt. Under constant pressure from his grandmother to get married, he impulsively convinces Miloni, a shy and brilliant accountancy student he happened to photograph at the Gateway of India, to pose as his fiancée. As the two individuals from vastly different social strata maintain the ruse, they develop an unexpected and delicate bond that challenges their perspectives on their own lives and futures.
