Roger is a timid New York City meter reader plagued by anxiety and a lack of self-esteem, which prevents him from pursuing his charming neighbor, Amanda. In a desperate bid to transform his life, he enrolls in a top-secret confidence-building course led by the acerbic and manipulative Dr. P.
