The Love Hypothesis

Olive Smith, a dedicated Stanford Ph.D. candidate conducting research into early pancreatic cancer detection, impulsively kisses notoriously harsh and unyielding professor Dr. Adam Carlsen to convince her best friend that she has moved on from a past romance. Needing a fake girlfriend to convince the university administration to unfreeze his research funds, Adam unexpectedly agrees to play along, formalizing a mutually beneficial arrangement complete with strict boundaries and ground rules. As their calculated academic charade unfolds amid academic pressures and conference trips, the counterfeit romance begins to blur the lines of professional detachment, forcing both scientists to question whether their theoretical hypothesis about love is an experiment genuinely worth risking.
