The Tank

Set in 1943 on the brutal Eastern Front of World War II, The Tank (originally titled Der Tiger) follows a five-man German crew operating a formidable Tiger I tank. Amidst the chaos of the Wehrmacht's retreat following the Battle of Stalingrad, the soldiers are dispatched on a high-stakes "secret mission" deep behind Soviet lines to rescue a missing officer. However, as the crew consumes military-issued methamphetamines to combat exhaustion, their journey transcends a standard combat operation and descends into a surreal, hallucinatory nightmare. Trapped within the claustrophobic metal walls of their machine, the men must confront the psychological ruins of war and their own moral complicity as the line between reality and madness begins to fracture.
